Dancers of the Three Fires

The Dancers of the Three Fires is a group of Youth united together to promote, preserve and maintain the cultural integrity of the Anishnaabek. The Three Fires consists of the Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi tribes of Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve, Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada.

The students and staff of the Wasse Aabin Pontiac School have worked hard to create and implement a Club within their school to promote, maintain and rediscover their culture and heritage within their own community.

The young dancers come from the People of the Three Fires that include the Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi nations. The Youth continue to share and enhance the lifestyle and commitment for peace and harmony within their culture and heritage.

This club incorporates and abides by the Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers of Love, Respect, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility, Truth and Bravery.

This is a non-profit group coordinated and united with common interest in the preservation of Anishnaabek cultural identity and integrity. The students are proud to be appointed as Ambassadors for their First Nation and for Youth in their community.
